

The social club for children and youth with developmental difficulties at Vukasin Markovic School in Kragujevac was officially opened thanks to established cooperation with Telenor Serbia Ltd and the Quality Education Center from Belgarde. On the occasion, Mr Kjell-Morten Johnsen CEO of Telenor Serbia, visited Kragujevac where he met with the Mayor Veroljub Stevanovic and attended the club opening.
Speaking of what motivated the company to do such donation, Mr Johnsen said: “We have got Telenor Foundation involved in helping societies and communities we do our business in every manner, besides the social responsibility itself is the principle respected in Norway for many years now. I’ve just got a promise of local government representatives to continue financing the project after our donation is completed, which is very important for we wish our investments in community to be sustainable and to last longer“.
The donation worth is RSD 3 million. The club premises are fully equipped with furniture, computer gear, toys library, in addition workshops maintenance is going to be funded in the next year.
According to the school principle Rajko Nisevic, founding of such club, meant not only for children with developmental difficulties but also for their peer from the city, is very significant for the inclusion process aiming at children to adapt their behavior and play with each other, so later on they could live with one another, rather than live one beside the other.
