The sorrow of Kragujevac is immense. Every year I watch another poem and I see that there is a new way to describe this sorrow which is not to be forgotten. We can not ever forget, we do not have the right to. What we can do is to live a normal life, like human beings. Coincidentally, from here we are heading straight to the City of Krusevac where one German investment is being realized. We live in a contemporary world now, and none of young Germans born after the war is culpable of what happened in Kragujevac. None of us born after the war has any right to reproach something from the past. One should take from the past the things that make one better, greater and stronger, said President Nikolic in Sumarice.
On this occasion poem “The Voices of Heaven Under Ground“ by Kragujevac writer Aleksandar B. Lakovic was performed in front of the Monument of the Shoot Pupils and Professors.
