Following the continuation of the construction works on Plaza project in Kragujevac, Plaza Centers Serbia and the local government of the City of Kragujevac had announced a competition on three topics: “My family” intended for preschool children, than “Funny things I like to do” for children aged seven to ten years, and in the third category up to the age of fifteen on the subject of “How my shopping center would look like”. Three-member jury had a difficult task making a selection of 845 drawings for, as they concluded, children of Kragujevac demonstrated extraordinary high level of imagination and talent.
On an appropriate ceremony 68 child authors were presented the awards. “Our mutual goal was the children of Kragujevac to have fun, to get around common idea, and to show their vision of Kragujevac using their imagination and creativity”. Also, the drawings are meant to decorate the fence around one of the biggest building sites that is Kragujevac Plaza Center. At the same time, the children along with us grown ups worked on development of the city in the manner suitable for their age and ideas”, said Slavica Saveljic, the City Council Member in charge of Social Policy and Child Care.
